Go Nude!

Fashion of the spring..Going Nude! Okay not literally, but with your shoes, makeup and clothing.  I’m in LOVE with all the nude tones out there for shoes especially.

These peeptoe ruffle heels from Charlotte Russe are to die for! I’m simply in love with this kind of shoe, not only in nude but also in the other colors.  So fun and flirty!

Another interesting trend this spring is the nude nails.  I love the different shades that Essie has to offer, for a simple nail color

Life should be simple..so why not keep your colors that way? ;-)

Nail Polish Review

I dont know about anyone else but I need to have my nails painted.  It might have something to do with the fact that I always worked in foodservice and could never wear nail polish (torture) but in any case I love a color on my nails.  Depending on my mood I’ll wear a bright color such as teal, pink, purple or orange and sometimes I’ll opt for a grey or navy blue color.  Navy is my recent favor since I just bought a new one but with spring coming I need to start brightening up.  When it comes to my toes I always wear bright, popping colors, never, never dark color on my toes!  As you can assume I own A LOT of nail polish in different brands and colors.  My two recent favorites happen to be Sally Hansen “Insta-Dri” and Essi nail polish.

Sally Hansen Insta-Dri has a wide brush for easy application.  The brush is also shaped different so instead of all the bristles being the same length, the middle ones are slightly longer.  When applying this you never have to worry about it dripping.  And as the name says it dries instantly within a little over a minute you have dry nails to apply the second coat.  No more worrying about smudging your nails and sitting there blowing on them forever! The two colors I own in this brand are Mint Sprint and Snappy Sorbet, but believe me I’ll be buying more from this brand!

Essie is a new brand I decided to try and is also the brand I just bought the Navy Blue in or “midnight cami”  This brand is long lasting and goes on smooth.  The only issue I have with it is the time it takes to dry.  It never fails that I end up smudging my nails after using this brand.  Despite this downfall I really enjoy the colors they have and as I said, I find it doesnt chip easily.

No matter what brand you purchase to paint your nails with I always, always, always recommend applying a base coat to prevent coloring of your nails when you remove the color and a top coat for longer wear!

New Eyeliner

I Love to wear eyeliner.  If I dont have any on, I feel like my eyes look blah.  So in this case I’m always looking for new eyeliners that give a smooth line and are long-lasting.  Ive gone through a few of the liquid liners with the felt tips and like them but never loved them.  I couldn’t get the line I wanted and sometimes felt like it went on too thick or wet.  I FINALLY have found an eyeliner I love!  Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner is the best I’ve owned.  With the gel application you control how much liner you want on the brush and how thin or thick or a line you want.  I’ve also been able to create dramatic “cat eyes” by winging this liner out further.  It gives me the smoothest line and goes on dry so you dont have to worry about that awful smudge.  Definitely everything I’ve been looking for in an eyeliner!
